Non-standard Forks:
If you are running something unique in road or mountain (Pace, Maverick, etc.) then we need the following:

Travel
Rake (also called offset)
Axle to crown height

Please make sure that the axle to crown height that you provide corresponds correctly with the fork travel.  For example, If a specific fork model is available in both 80 and 100mm travel versions, they will have different axle to crown heights.  80mm travel forks will typically have axle to crown of 450mm whereas 100mm forks are usually in the range of 470mm. 29er forks are completely different so make sure you have the right specifications.

Brakes:
For Cross, Hardtail Mountain, and 29er bikes we need to know the following:

Your Riding Style
A truly custom bike means taking both your body measurements into account along with your personal preferences. We have fit thousands of riders and have come across many people with similar body measurements but vastly different needs.  We do not see custom fitting as a process of just taking a few body measurements and plugging them into the HAL2000 supercomputer to tell you what you need. Yes, body measurements are important, but they really only tell about half of the story. We need to find more about you. It might take a little longer, but it’s by the far the best way to get the best bike and it’s just one reason why a Titus custom bike will fit and ride better then a custom bike from another manufacturer.

Additional Questions:  Please take a few minutes to tell us a little about yourself, the type of riding you do, and the bike you’re currently riding.

Road Rider:

Are you a recreational or competitive rider?
What is the average mileage you ride per week?
What is the average length of your rides?
What are your strengths and weaknesses on the bike?  Do you consider yourself a strong sprinter, but a week climber or vice versa?  Do you feel uncomfortable on fast descents or are you comfortable going fast?
How flexible are you? Can you touch your toes? Do you have any back or neck issues?  If so, is it a medical problem such as a herniated disc, or is it discomfort that slowly shows up on longer rides and then goes away after you get off the bike?
Any other issues on the bike?  Do your wrists or knees hurt?
Is there anything you like or dislike about your current bike?  Some customers come to us with older bikes that they really like, but just want something newer and lighter. Others may be generally happy with their fit, but find their current bike to be too flexy, too harsh or unstable on fast descents. Some riders feel too stretched out or too cramped up. Please share with us ANY detail that you can about your current bike so that we can take into account the things you like about the bike and fix the things you don't.

Mountain Rider:
What kind of rider are you? Are you a racer, a trail rider, or need one bike that can do it all?
Where do you ride? A customer that does every day “trail rides” in Moab needs something a little bit different then a customer that rides in Wisconsin. The locations where you do the majority of your riding is important as are the places where you like to take your bike.
Do you have any medical issues we should take into account? Do you have lower back paint, neck pain, wrist pain or past injuries we should take into account?
What are your strengths and weaknesses on the bike? Do you like technical terrain? Is going down hill a strong or weak point for you?
Is there anything you like or dislike about your current bike? By the nature of Titus designs, the frame stiffness and suspension performance on a Titus bike will surpass what you are currently riding. However, it would be good to know if there are any specific issues that cause you problems with your current bike that we should be aware of when designing your new bike. For instance, do you hit your cranks on obstacles with your current bike? Do you go over the bars a lot? Does the bike feel twitchy on descents, or do you have issues cleaning tight switchbacks that other riders seem to have issues with? Does the bike’s front end come up too easy or wander around on climbs? Please share with us ANY detail that you can about your current bike so that we can take into account the things you like about the bike and fix the things you don’t.
