Taken in 2003, Dave Watson gap-jumped the Tour de France peloton during the Alp d’Huez stage. The jump took place just before the summit of the col de Galibier. Read more here. (via Bikeradar.com)

Once a year, just before the holidays, the creative members of our bike community come out to display their wares. Now in it’s sixth year, BikeCraft has become a staple of Portland’s calendar of bicycle events.

Last Saturday shiggy traveled a short way north to Castle Rock, Washington to help with a trail building day. The local mountain bike group builds and maintains a network of trails on private timber lands (their agreement with the land owners prevents me from saying more about the location) The route was scouted and flagged months ago. Seventeen of us cut it in in just a few hours.

For a few weeks now we have been running a global competition to look for people to represent us out in the big wide muddy and dusty world. We love videos, and so we’ve launched it as a video competition.

You produce a vid, tag it on youtube, and we go look. If we love you, we’ll be in touch. Soon. Honest.

This is not about race results, it is about you. All you have to do is this:

1) Create a self-shot 30 second video showcasing why you would make a great brand ambassador
2) Upload your video to YouTube and tag with either #globalteamtitus or #globalteamonone
3) Email your contact details, and a link to your video to rick@titusti.com
